Week Before Christmas

It's a week before Christmas and all through the house...ahhh you know the rest of the story?  Funny how this time of year brings out the best and worst in people.  Today I let an "older" lady enter the flow of traffic, the young guy behind me I guess didn't think that was the right thing to do...so he air-mailed me a bird....While the "older" lady waved to me without taking her eyes off the road.

Tim Hortons drive through today, girl asks me what kind of pictures I took?  I asked what type of photographs she was looking for (I realize it's not nice to answer with a question, just couldn't help myself) I asked??  "Cheap Ones" she replied...just like the store can give me.....

First "the store" provides a picture not a photograph,  and your lucky if you like one of the 5 that came out.  Then your provided with the prints you were promised, then the up sale begins...  By the time your done you have invested about $200-$250.00 for pictures.....Cheap?  No!  Rip off?  Pretty damn close.

There is a difference between me (and other photographers) and your local 5 minute studio.  If you think there is no difference between a Ford Focus and a Ford Taurus...your wrong!  Cheap is not always better...I'm better and I'm not cheap nor are my fellow photographers.

Mr and Mrs Joyce

Ahhhh. let me tell you about this handsome couple.  I had the pleasure of meeting them both and when I say it was a pleasure that's what I mean.  Great couple/Great family and we went to a great place for their photos (I was like a kid at Christmas).  It gave me great pleasure in creating some of their first images as Mr and Mrs. Joyce.

Jeanette and Ryan E-session

So glad to be a wedding photographer...the people I get to meet in this business are awesome.  Jeanette and Ryan are no exception.  We met at Chestnut Ridge after I had driven out to see if there were still some leaves on the tree.  The photographs tell the story.  Ryan and Jeanette were very comfortable in front of the camera, good looking couple and ready to share their life together.  I had a great time with them....they were a blast.

Katrina and Mark E-Session

I had a great time with this couple, they are so full of life and really enjoy eachother.  We hung out on the river where they feel comfortable (long walks on the water) and pretty much had a good time.  They were relaxed/cold/fun and did I mention cold?  It was a bit chilly in the morning!  I can't wait for their wedding day, I'm looking forward to creating some great wedding photos with them.

Madison

Madison and I have been hanging since she was born...we have a special bond.  It's called....take my photograph if you can  :-)   Madison is a beautiful little girl whith some special parents Robin and Greg.  I love the fact that she would rather run than get posed in some tea cup at the mall.

Robotic Surgery

This is a very interesting form of surgery. The ability to lessen the recovery time to 3-4 weeks after major heart surgery is amazing! I had the chance to document Dr. Bell-Thompson and his team @ Mercy Hospital....I was amazed at what happened in that OR..and amazed may be the under-stament of the year.

The preparation is critical in the success of the operation;

Once the prepearation is complete, Dr. Bell-Thompson moves to the other side of the OR to perform the delicate operation using the robot.

Hope you don't have a weak knee's but this is what he see's while working.
