What a great year For MatchStick Photography

I have had a great year as the owner of MatchStick Photography.  I worked hard to provide some beautiful memories for my clients, I did get to meet some very special couples as they start their new life together.  I feel very blessed to have this opportunity to share with them and document for them the beginning of their life.

Creating special memories on their wedding day takes a lot of work, this is one of the biggest responsibilities a photographer can have.  Constantly moving and searching for the next moment!

Even in May of this year it was 85 and humid, so warm the bride fainted just before the kiss on the alter....(I thought I was going to pass out much sooner).  Through it all she was a trooper, got back to her feet kissed the groom and headed down the isle all before Mass started.

I did a few weddings this year with out of town couples.  Some were in the Military.  MatchStick Photography offers a Military discount on weddings, after serving 21 years in the Marine Corps I know what these men and women go through so for me to provide them with a military wedding discount...I consider it pay back for what they do and will do for our Country.

One of those couples were Sari and Kevin Murray.  Awesome couple who know how to have a good time.  We had a bit of fun taking the formal photos along Lake Erie and in West Seneca.  Wedding formals can be such a drag without Hockey sticks.........

Knowing I can't fit everybody into this year in review....know this.  "I am blessed to be able to say that I am a Buffalo and Central Florida Wedding Photographer and I am blessed to have worked for all these couples!" 

Onward for 2013...I  will be living in Central Florida shooting weddings as well as taking care of my clients here in Buffalo and WNY.

A key component to my great year has been the two other shooters I have on the team. Rich Ersing and Paul Scharf have been the guys that capture some really great reaction shots as well as action.  It's called team work....I'm damn glad to have them on my team!

New Year..HAPPY HAPPY

Hi everybody, I am the worlds worst Blogger!  I don't make timely updates nor do I move my blog to others the way I should.  Perhaps I have nothing to say?

If you know me that for sure is not true, as my wife sates..."you have something to say about everything don't you?"  Well the truth is no...I don't.  There are things that I know, that I love to share with others though.   

I will say this...I had a great year covering weddings for some very special clients.  I enjoyed every wedding and every meeting even if they did not book with me.  My year as a wedding photographer here in Buffalo, NY was awesome, 2013 is going to be a better year.  As I prepare to move to Florida, my wedding business has doubled.  I will be completely booked for the year soon which is good.  2014 weddings are starting to come in now.  I will cut in half my wedding business (for me) in Buffalo in 2014 however.  I do have other photographers that I will refer this business too.
